Frozen goods

Frozen goods travel at sub-zero temperature, usually between 18°C and 25°C below zero, depending on the item and what the destination requires.

A frozen mass provides thermal inertia that chilled cargo does not have, allowing margin during short stops. That margin is lost when the product goes through thaw and refreeze cycles, which change texture and appearance even when the final recorded temperature looks correct.
