Transformers are large electrical units used in power transmission and distribution, in substations, industry and infrastructure projects.

They are among the heaviest cargo per bearing area handled in a project shipment, and they are sensitive to impact and tilt: a shock in transit can affect the core and windings without leaving a visible mark. Larger units often travel without their insulating oil, which changes the weight and the care required on arrival.
